Alongside a few personal updates, I have for you an article on hipsters, a cute animation, and a happy little pop tune.

When I first saw trailers of Up in the theaters, I knew right away that Pixar would have a hit. What I didn’t realize is that the film would be more of a tear-jerker than a comedy fest; Up seemed much more in-tune to the heartstrings than the funny bone, drawing more subtle humor than outright laughs in a story that deals with some of life’s more heart-wrenching situations.

So, I realize that a lot of you reading this blog entry might just be big-time Valentine’s Day-haters. Well… in a way, I am, too. But that isn’t going to keep me from arguing that perhaps there is something valuable in Valentine’s Day.

Although blogging again is a resolution of mine, I decided I might as well start again now so I can recap a little about my year; explain a little bit of why starting at the end still make the beginning of the year a bit better.
