Stealing Hashtags is a Dick Move

Excuse my French, but stealing hashtags is a dick move. It’s rude. Don’t do it. Search your desired hashtag, make sure nobody else is using it, and adjust your hashtag if need be. Bottom line: don’t jack hashtags. Seriously.

A difference in rhetoric, a dash of naïveté, and just being sheltered – not willful ignorance, nor hatred – are the basis of what Americans and other non-Swedes have found offensive in the recent @sweden tweets.

Why Twitter tires me out

Plain and simple, Twitter is just not the place for a multitude of valuable interactions; it takes away from quality, just as not all news can be summarized in 30-second snippets or within a half hour of a news program. Regardless of the great service it can provide in many ways, it just isn’t the best place for everything.
