My name is Jen. I recently moved to San Diego from Boulder, Colo., to do something new and get outside my comfort zone.

Before this blog, I wrote a blog called A Year in Sweden, about my time in Sweden and the travels I took while I studied there.  There’s a lot at my Year in Sweden blog about the cultural differences in Sweden, the life of a Swedish student, and various other European travels.

I attended the University of Colorado at Boulder, where I studied media studies in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, history, and Nordic Studies.

Some of my extra-curricular interests include ice hockey (watching and playing), volleyball (playing on sand and court), attending far too many concerts than could ever be good for my hearing, and being a wannabe foodie.
