My name is Jen. I recently moved to San Diego from Boulder, Colo., to do something new and get outside my comfort zone.

Before this blog, I wrote a blog called A Year in Sweden, about my time in Sweden and the travels I took while I studied there.  There’s a lot at my Year in Sweden blog about the cultural differences in Sweden, the life of a Swedish student, and various other European travels.

I attended the University of Colorado at Boulder, where I studied media studies in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, history, and Nordic Studies. I now work as a project manager handling SEO, social media, and web development.

Some of my interests include writing, reading, ice hockey (watching and playing), volleyball (playing on sand and court), craft beer, attending far too many concerts than could ever be good for my hearing, and being a wannabe foodie.
